I ended up back on the Internet checking out recycling, using a rain barrel and grey water in your garden among other things. I need to rig up my shower drain and washing machine to water my garden. I also checked out a blog of a woman who gave up plastics almost completely. That is seriously amazing.

I also learned about the soap berry tree. That is one cool plant. I am now scouring the Internet for  somewhere to buy some soap berry seeds so I can try to grow one. There only seems to be one place that is in the US to buy the shells from but I want some seeds. I think that anything that I can use to do laundry, wash my skin and hair with and clean house with all from one tree is amazing. So I will just have to find out how to get myself one.

I have a recipe to make my own essential oil from orange peel using vodka. So I am glad I just bought a bag of oranges and am going to save the peels and try it out. Vodka is a useful thing too. You can make perfume with it. It is good for keeping your razor from rusting, not that I can recall the last time I shaved. I think sometime in December. It kills mildew on the bath tub.

I just love things that have LOTS of different uses!
