My camera doesn’t take great indoor pictures. I don’t know if it is the lighting or what. Plus they move pretty fast for such little guys. That toy they are playing with is just a hot wheel on steroids so that should tell you how small they are. What it doesn’t tell you is how LOUD they are.

Kitties! I am NOT showing this to T–there’s been all too much talk about kittens around here lately. We both agree we can’t have more four-legs for now…but still…
I have 15 permanent and about 5 transient cats right now. I really didn’t intend to turn into the crazy cat lady until I was a little older. The last 2 that are thankfully no longer batshit feral will be headed to the vet for a little sugery shortly. Then I have to start the countdown for the kitties. What I would really like is to find someone responsible to give one or two or…kitties to. I would even consider giving away one of my older ones if I knew it was to someone who would really take care of them. It is almost impossible to find a good home for an animal. Maybe if yall want some new critters try fostering for a shelter or something? Helps the animals and you could have a steady stream of kitties, or puppies, or other more interesting things. If I weren’t ever-run with cats that’s what I would do.
I’ve considered fostering often, but I’m afraid T. would just have to keep them all. Lucky I have somebody else to blame…I’d never be that way, noooooo…
That would be the same way. I wish that we had more options for strays. There is no shelter in the town I live in of any sort. There is a privately ran rescue somewhere in the county that I have never seen. There is a no kill shelter 30 miles away and unfortunately one that isn’t in the city where I go to classes. All of the small towns don’t have anything and the stray situation can get pretty bad because no one bothers to get their animals fixed. The only reason 2 of mine aren’t fixed yet is because it takes a loooong time to tame a feral cat enough to pick up. I am there with one (even though she doesn’t like it) and I am close enough with the other that I will wear thick gloves and risk it. I can not handle any more cats. If it weren’t for a local program for vaccines and a really cheap vet for spaying and neutering I would be screwed. Regardless my budget is screaming from the expense as it is. Jesus, that was an entire post in and of itself.
