Confessions

This http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArGFNYrazCU&feature=related makes me have a goofy grin every time I watch it and even though I think she’s hot(and that makes me feel like such a pervert) and I like the song, I can’t figure out exactly why that video makes me so happy.

I totally agree with http://dorothysurrenders.blogspot.com/ taste in women. Most of the time. Especially Gillian Anderson, yummy. Made me look to see if any theater within driving distance is showing the X-files movie and I was suprised but one is! Made me want to see it that much more to know it is 20 minutes away, has a matinee showing (I know I’m cheap, but it’s half price and I’m broke.) and I would probably not have too many people in the theater.

Which leads me to more dorky confessions. I’ve never seen a movie in a theater by myself. I’ve only ever went with someone or with a group. The last movie I went to see was when I was very pregnant with P. It wasn’t a great movie, most of the ones I’ve made the effort to go see haven’t been good. I don’t want to be disappointed by the X-files. I was a huge fan of the show when it was on. I own every season on dvd.

This concludes this portion of dorky confessions. I’m sure I’ll have more at a later time.

I was the total queen of matinees-by-myself when I was single. I recommend it highly! Seems like there are always a few people there alone, and nobody notices or remembers once the movie starts.

I might have to give it a try. It might be fun to not have to share anything with anyone. I did discover that I love to go out to eat by myself so maybe going to the movies alone is just as nice.

I LOVE going to movies alone. Love. It. See what I want and not worry about whether someone else is enjoying it. Not deal with meeting up with anyone or making any family members get out of the house on time. Lovely.

This is one of the thoughts I had in my someday-to-be-written “two kinds of people” post – those who go to movies alone and those who do not. My stepson, for example, will not. Which is unfortunate because I end up seeing a lot of action movies that I don’t necessarily need to see (Hello, Dark, Dark, Dark Knight).

That was kind of what was starting to appeal to me too. I could see whatever, whenever, (If I could get a babysitter) sit where I want and on and on. The greediness inside me finds that very appealing. Everyone is raving about Dark Night and I don’t understand it. I might one day watch it if it comes on TV but I wont go out of my way for it.
