I spend entirely too much time on the computer. Time that leads me to read all these fun facts about plastic bags, like it has been estimated that 500 billion to 1 trillion plastic bags are consumed worldwide each year. Why the hell do we need so many friggin bags?

I have a huge amount of them that I reuse and I try to refuse them as much as possible. I have a bag that I use for the store within walking distance. I know that I should have already gotten off my butt and made me some sturdy reusable ones to keep in my car for other stores. I even have the canvas that I bought just for that waiting on me. I might have to spend my afternoon making bags. Then I can make them purdy tomorrow.

I had to pause in the writing of this post to go buy some eggs and they crammed them in a plastic bag even though I have been in there a 1000 times and I always tell them I don’t need a bag. Sometimes people are so frustrating.

I am not an environmental nut by any mean. I do try to recycle what I can and limit my use of other things but I do run the heat and ac too much and there are appliances that are off and still using electricity that could be unplugged. I am going to try to grow a garden again this year. I haven’t done that in forever. I want to save the earth and some money for myself. But I’ll have to babble some more on this later.
